The WSO2 Identity Server team has announced the release of WSO2 Identity Server version 5.8.0.

WSO2 Identity Server is developed on top of the revolutionary WSO2 Carbon platform, an OSGi based framework that provides seamless modularity to your SOA solution via componentization. All the major features have been developed as pluggable Carbon components.

The following includes major features and improvements provided in WSO2 IS 5.8.0:

  • OpenID Connect backchannel logout — This feature enables logging out users from a client application/Relying Party (RP) by directly communicating the logout requests between the client application and authorization server.
  • SAML front channel logout — This feature enables the session participants to use an asynchronous binding such as HTTP Redirect binding, HTTP POST Binding or Artifact Binding to send a request to the identity provider through a browser agent.

You can download this distribution from https://wso2.com/identity-and-access-management/install
